和上一卷的出色比起来这卷大概只能评价“庸作”之名。为了转变而转变，为了死亡而死亡，那些挣扎和疯狂都被记叙的有些苍白。
荷鲁斯思想的转变还是有些生硬。由复仇之刃串起暗线写的相当精彩，几位记录者的结局也令人唏嘘，不过前面交代了洛肯已经从结社那里知道了卡尔卡斯会面临危险，阴谋揭晓后，洛肯直接神隐，卡尔卡斯就这么死了，总觉得情节上不太合情理。
