The Hound of the Baskervilles is a 1959 British gothic mystery film directed by Terence Fisher and produced by Hammer Film Productions. It is based on the 1902 novel of the same title by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It stars Peter Cushing as Sherlock Holmes, Sir Christopher Lee as Sir Henry Baskerville and André Morell as Doctor Watson. 得益於漢默的製片氛圍和佈景，這片驚悚感很強，福爾摩斯和華生的氣場也很強，Cushing有著他最好的表演狀態，而華生演繹得十分不同於同時代的喜劇丑角化，理智穩重又堅毅到了過於超前的地步，絕對是Cushing搭檔過的三位華生裡最合拍的。本片質量還可以，但血統明顯更來自漢默而不是柯南道爾爵士，原作為主的心態要是放得太重會很失望，這裡改編劇情太多，李扮演的爵士大多時候像個呆子，還有那段像BR版即視感的礦洞遇險。不過談論起獵犬影視時，漢默版仍然難以忽視，畢竟有著在福爾摩斯影視裡獨特的氛圍和扮演過福爾摩斯的兩位主演。
