Later, Daniel goes to a golf driving range and a buffet with his step-brother Ted Jr. Ted Jr. tells Daniel he is nervous about business at the family auto supply store if Daniel comes back to work there. Daniel tells Ted Jr. about getting attacked in the prison showers. At a family cookout, Daniel's step-father, Ted. Sr., asks Daniel's current lawyer if the government will leave Daniel alone. The lawyer says if it is not in their interest to do so, which it currently is not, they will keep pursuing a conviction against Daniel. Ted Jr.'s wife approaches Daniel at the family picnic and shares her favourite season with him. Daniel tells her that he didn't have windows in prison.
