[转]Make a game before you die.

Today I watched a GDC talk that made me cry.

I've been sick on and off quite a bit the last few weeks.

Don't worry, it isn't anything serious but I've struggled to stay motivated.

I've been using the sickness as an excuse to sleep in, skip writing these emails, or even work.

Now, don't get me wrong, it is okay to take a break if you really need it, but in my case I've had enough of a break.

I just need to get back to work.

Today I watched this GDC talk by Sam Coster (one of the creators for Crashlands).

His story really resonated with me and inspired me to do the things that are important to me.

Before making Crashlands, Sam found out he had cancer.

His chance at survival was 7%.

He started Crashlands because he wanted to make something meaningful before he died. Here is the full story in his own words (warning: there is some strong language as he has very strong feelings in regards to cancer).
