1986年生まれ。茨城県出身。叙情的なピアノメロディに幻想的なシンセプログラミングを調和させる、繊細なサウンドスケープを特長とするミュージック・デザイナー。現在は日本のOtographic Music、ロシアのSilk Music、イギリスのEnhanced Recordingsを主な活動の場とし、世界のプログレッシヴハウスシーンにおいてその一翼を担うアーティストとして活躍している。
2004年から音楽活動を開始し、19歳の頃にJames Grant (Anjunadeep)のサウンドに触れ作風の指針を見出す。2008年に日本のSevensenses recordingsからデビュー。2009年には世界のプログレッシヴハウスシーンを牽引するロシアのSilk Musicと契約し海外での活動を本格化。2011年には1stアルバム「Sapporo」をリリースし、Silk Musicのトップアーティストとしての立場を築いた。2012年にはトランスシーンにおいて世界最大規模の販路を持つオランダのArmada Musicと契約し、活躍の場をトランスシーンにも広げた。2013年1月にはニューヨークでのギグを果たす等、日本人アーティストとして卓越した実績を打ち立て続けている。
国内では、2012年にOtographic Musicから発表したシングル「Behind The Sunset / Scroll」がBeatportのProgressive Houseリリースチャートにおいて第4位を記録。2013年4月には新木場ageHaのメインアリーナに出演。メジャーシーンでの活躍も著しく、2011年と2012年にFUNKY MONKEY BABYSのプロデューサー・アレンジャーとして「空」と「夢で逢えたら ～I’m feeling you～」の楽曲制作を手掛け、前者は東京新聞のCMソングに、後者はハウステンボス「チューリップ祭り」のCMソングに選出された。2014年にはOtographic Musicから2nd album「Days」をリリースし、BeatportのTranceリリースチャート第1位にランクイン。
世界最先端のクラブトラックとしてのクオリティを備えつつ多方面にアピールするサウンドを描くことの出来る数少ないアーティストである。
Shingo Nakamura was born in 1986. He started to compose music in 2002 at the age of 16. In 2004, he started to distribute original tracks in the alias of “mek”. When he was 19 years old, he experienced the James Grant’s DJ-ing in Japan and fascinated by progressive house. Consequently, he chose progressive trance and progressive house as his main field.
In 2007, Shingo started activities in his real name “Shingo Nakamura”. In 2008, he produced “Favor - Spring Haze (Shingo Nakamura Remix)” on Sevensenses recordings which made Shingo to be focused by various djs and labels both inside and outside of Japan.
From 2009, Shingo accelerated his activities and provided solid tracks for worldwide labels such as Proton Music, Silk Music, Enhanced Music, Solaris Recordings etc. In Japan, not only his works on Otographic, he produces tracks for major artists like “Funky Monkey Babys”. In 2011, Shingo released the original artist album “Sapporo” from Silk Digital. Now he is known as a significant artist in the progressive scene.
