It's onto the battlefield where soldiers in the trench are sitting ducks against bomber planes, and Jonas in the middle of the battlefield seeing comrades dropping like flies. Even though the soldiers want to save their comrades, Fine reminds everybody what their purpose is and they would only be throwing their lives away for nothing by doing so. Instead, Izetta is sent in to overpower the Germans and do what the soldiers wanted to accomplish with ease. That was quite an impressive display of power by Izetta.
The way this show presents war is surprisingly realistic.
The aerial bombings, dogfights, harsh as a soldier on the battlefield, etc and of course death. Fine is a good motivator and Izetta provides the firepower with her abilities.
Wonder if she can keep this momentum up but yeah, pretty solid action oriented episode. That felt fast.
Holy-Shit, she's got a freakin' rifle!!
Action-heavy episode this week with a majority of it being centered around war. Animation takes a spike when Izetta unleashes her magic against the enemy and wails on them.
The camera loves to zoom in on Izetta's thighs and butt, which can bring down tension because of fan service. Still, the word is out that a witch has appeared, so ready to see how that will turn out!
Edit: That awkward moment when Stark uses the same images as you.... Same goes for any other user, lol.
Now Izetta is using lances as "broom"? At least for that one time. Anyway, she did put up a great aerial fight against those Stukas.
For anyone curious as to the equipment shown in this episode:
Eylstadt:
The tanks appears to be a Renault FT's
The MG appears to be a Hotchkiss M1909.
The helmet appears to be the Adrian used by the French during World War 1.
However I am unable to identify what the rifle used by Eylstadt is, so far they have used French World War 1 equipment but I can't find a French rifle of the First World War that has a bayonet lug on the side of the rifle. So if anyone has any idea as to the Eylstadt rifle feel free to let me know what it is. If it wasn't for that bayonet lug (which seems to only show up at 9:34) I would say it is likely a Lebel (especially with the nice side shot of it that we get at 10:04).
Germania:
The larger bombers appear to be Heinkel He 111's.
The tanks are Panzer III's, cant say a specific model but they are one of the earlier ones since they have appear to have two MGs in the turret meaning it is using a 37mm gun limiting it the an Ausf. F or earlier.
The rifles are probably Karabiner 98's, I didn't get a good look at them but that is the primary bolt action rifle used by Germany in WW2.
I like that the violence isn't too over the top (versus Drifters where it is welcome). Izetta could have easily impaled numerous soldiers with those swords, but opted to take out the planes and tanks instead. Yes, she still killed people... it is a war.
I take it Fine will be the Queen now? I don't believe we've seen anything about her mother and with the ending with her father.... not looking good. Makes me wonder if the King had any connections with a witch in his youth.
wow what a great eps! I'm glad there not flinching on the horror and realism of war. It's hell.
of course then we get Izzeta who goes full Archer on us and flips tanks around!
I was cheering too.
..of course now that everyone know about izzta..
Yooooo Izetta went full Gilgamesh on these Germanians. Nice episode, nice thighs, looking forward to more
