本作名为《雕塑家》，但在主人公死前的闪回里，却只有两个雕塑的画面，也许只有把那繁复的生活灌注进作品里，才能创造出作者和主人公所追求的“艺术”吧。画面节奏非常好，那些停顿的，急促的，那些留白和象征的运用，那些画格与画格之间的变与不变，Scott Mcloud通过自己曾分享给我们的技巧，让读者与这个雕塑家共做一场梦。不过部分台词问题（翻译or原文本的锅）和为过审出版而作的画面修改扣点分，看完后我觉得，
后浪引进了中文版。我一直看不进美式漫画的表现形式，这是我第一次感受到大开本漫画的表现力和冲击性。
