  • CLAYMORE

While Claymore may not be just as dark and gory as Berserk, it still holds plenty of bloody battles and monsters. The characters are interesting, and so is the story. And Claymore is full of nice women. Just so you know.

Both focus on an antihero of sorts with extreme proficiency in slicing dudes. Beautiful artwork, complex and mature themes, and a (while not yet present in Vagabond) hostile rivalry between the two main characters. Berserk is set in a high-fantasy setting while Vagabond is set in medieval Japan and on historical events.
  • GANTZ

Both have violent but cool fighting scenes and even some sex together with interesting stories. Beserk follow a medieval fantasy world while Gantz is set in alternate present cyberpunk. Both main characters are also affected by unknown forces.

Both are violent and got nicely done action scenes and interesting flashbacks. Berserk is set in a more fantasy medieval world while Vinland Saga follows the life of Danish Vikings. Berserk Golden age part is very similar to Vinland saga, both is about a strong young boy who is a part of a mercenary group and got full respect from the leader who gives him the most important missions. The art in the two are very close, tho Vinland Saga is a more clean while Berserk is more sketchy and more detailed.

Shin Angyo Onshi is the Korean Berserk. It's as simple as that. Few manga/manhwa can compare to Berserk in terms of art, but SAO even rivals Berserk in that area--SAO's art probably even bettering Miura's detailed work. For the sake of spoilers, I'll avoid going into detail, but I will say this: Munsu's personality and actions mirror Guts'. His hatred and need for vengeance are also powered by what forces Guts forward (the 'betrayal' of a best friend, as well as a woman in the middle of them and a word starting with 'R'). And as for SAO's villain, not only does he look like Griffith, he has the same creepy smiling-but-evil/manipulative aura.

Ubel Blatt is essentially a "newer" version of Berserk. It shares many general themes with Berserk, such as a dark fantasy setting, swordfighting, sex and the theme of a lone hero betrayed by his friends and is out to get revenge. However, the mangaka of Ubel Blatt is no Miura; the art is of a more typical manga style than the extremely detailed drawings you'll find in Berserk. Consequently, the character design looks similarly generic. This difference is rather apparent when you compare Koinzell, the main character who looks like a scarred version of Link and is indeed an Elf/Fairy thing, to Guts who is pretty much the complete opposite with his massive frame, huge sword and chisel-jawed features. There is also some silliness with special attacks being named (another common anime/manga trope) unlike Berserk, where Guts just sort of cuts everything to pieces. That being said, we all know that Berserk has a rather lengthy interval between releases. Ubel Blatt is more of the dark fantasy setting with similar themes of hopelessness and while it's not as good as its inspiration, it still makes for an enjoyable read.

Well I'll refrain myself from spoiling the two (Spoilers for decades old manga? Surely everyone already knows the spoilers) Miura himself claims he's a big fan of Go Nagai and had influences from his manga. As for the manga: Both have deep roots in mythology and share a great deal of themes. Among them: friendship, corruption, and betrayal. If you only read the first Devilman series you might see the similarities with Berserk and also notice the major turning point of both series are very much alike. The more of Devilman you read the more and more similarities you'll notice. The characters: Akira/Amon and Guts: Both (at some point or another) sacrifice some of their humanity to become stronger. (It's spoilers to say, but the more you read of each the more similarities you'll pick up) Several characters and Caska: If you read Devilman and the backstories you notice Caska is a combination of several traits of the woman present in the Devilman series. Asuka and Griffith: Both are at one point or another best friends with the main character. Both also are one of the main reasons the main character is able to gain strength. They also share the trait of the (HUGE SPOILER). Also, the relationship between the main character and the "best friend" can occasionally (and in some cases undeniably) be described as homosexual in nature (one could argue against this but no matter the case the bonds extend far beyond comradery and friendship). There are plenty of actions both "best friends" take out of jealousy over the main character's affections. Read more into both series and you'll find them.

These dark fantasy reads involve large scale fights with powerful, often gigantic, creatures.

。 Kingdom and berserk revolves around a protagonist who thirst for blood and war. These two character must face countless enemies with monstrous strength in order to achieve their their ultimate goal. Both series sets in medieval time involving with the knight and the king. Both berserk and kingdom consist of violence, war and revenge, It also includes mature scene such as sex and affair. Both series are enjoyable and I definitely recommend u reading it if ur a fan of war stories or u love one of these series.

A deep and interesting story, buckets of blood and gore and brilliant characters is what awaits in both Berserk and BotI. As well as great art and naturally, plenty of sword fighting.

Whilst these two have completely different settings, they have many common themes between them. Both Berserk and Alita follow unfortunate protagonists whose troubles seem to go from bad to worse-- pretty much all the time. Guts and Gally/Alita (depending on where you read it) suffer terrible hardship, and through this we see them change dramatically. Both stories are so emotional and amazingly written... but I think it's important to note that they're both really gorey!

Victor Freeman is a black Gutts. Period.

Both are violent, action-heavy series with plotlines that'll leave you much to question and think about. Both are fantasy worlds with very interesting cosmologies. Both have their share of massacres and badassery.

Berserk is set in a medieval European time setting full of monsters and Gods while Shamo takes place in modern-day Japan dealing with martial arts fights. These two pieces are mature works and share a pervasive dark mood throughout, and the art of both reflects that, being highly detailed and gritty -- don't ever expect flowers and rainbows. Both are chock full of violence, sex, rape, and two protagonists who share an immeasurable will to survive, ruthlessly fighting to defeat something that is undeniably a bigger force than they. Both of their journeys' will suck you right in, so be ready for a rough ride.

Violence, misogyny, sex and gore are featured these two amazing masterpieces that show off the skills of the mangakas and illustrators. There are a must read for any manga reader in search of a mature plot that weave together a bloody, action packed scenes that will not fail to entertain.
  • JACKALS

Cool guys, big weapons and much blood and and gore... what else is there to say ?

1人推荐 about the Protagonists Both protagonists are in a journey, a Quest, that is powered by feelings from deep in their hearts. Both are rather lonely and the silent type but have a companion more talkative and fun, the perfect complement to balance their traits. Both have a strong determination and arms, and are tall, broad, and wear a long cape. about the Story Also, both the stories can become crude at points, yet Berserk is more violent, the Legend more moving. conclusion Apart from this, though, bear in mind that the plots are very different. If youre the sort who cares just for the action, then try the Legend if you feel like it, but I dont you might enjoy it.

Swords, demons, great graphics, violence... Both mangas offer almost the same. Le Chevalier D'Eon is shorter, but enjoyable, while Berserk is known for it's long, epic story. In both series the protagonists are hunting for traitors to avenge the past.

They're both incredibly violent involve lots of adult situations and lots of morally wrong actions.
