The Watcher recruits Strange-Supreme, Captain Carter, Star-Lord T'Challa, "Party" Thor, Black Panther Killmonger, and a Gamora variant who killed Thanos[a] from their respective universes to battle Ultron. They travel to a universe lacking intelligent life to prepare, but Thor accidentally draws Ultron's attention. T'Challa steals the Soul Stone from Ultron and Strange summons a horde of zombies as a distraction while the team escapes to Ultron's home universe, where they are joined by Natasha Romanoff. Ultron overpowers them until Romanoff, with Carter's help, shoots Ultron with an arrow containing Arnim Zola's mind. Zola erases Ultron from the inside, while Killmonger takes Ultron's armor and the Infinity Stones. Zola, now controlling Ultron's body, fights Killmonger for the Stones. Strange and the Watcher seal Zola and Killmonger in a pocket dimension, which Strange agrees to watch over. The Watcher returns Strange, Carter, T'Challa, Gamora, and Thor to their respective universes. Romanoff refuses to return to her ruined universe, so the Watcher brings her to the universe in which the Avengers candidates were assassinated,[b] where she helps defeat Loki. In a mid-credits scene, Carter and her universe's Romanoff discover the Hydra Stomper armor with someone inside.
